Hand crocheted red and white tablecloth or bedspread. Beautiful work on this vintage bed coverlet or afghan or use as a tablecloth. Cut it apart to make pillows. It came from a moving/estate sale of a friend and she said her grandmother made it. I don't believe it has ever been used because she never cut the strings off the back.
In one photo, I have it on my dining table. Isn't it gorgeous. In another photo I have it laying on a queen sized bed with a white bedspread under it. There are no holes or stains but I did notice there are few of the white squares that have a pink tint as shown in 3rd photo. Must be from the red? I do not know the pattern name.
It measures approximately 60 by 80 inches and it is 30 blocks wide and 44 blocks long. It is shown on a 60" by 42" table and a 60 by 80 inch bed. I think it was made for a twin bed probably. You could make two smaller tablecloths out of this or maybe some pillows.
Thanks for looking.
