Depiction of a village scene is hand woven 100% mohair wall tapestry by Hatooa-Mose-Modali Ltd. in Kingdom of Lesotho. Lesotho is a small, landlocked mountainous country in Southern Africa. Raw mohair clipped from goats, is refined by hand, carded and spun. This yarn is dyed, and then woven into tapestries and rugs with colourful patterns or picturesque scenes. The mohair comes from the flocks of angora goats that roam the Maluti Mountains.
Each tapestry is hand woven, titled and signed with the weavers name. It is in excellent vintage condition with no tears, rips, moth holes or stains. It comes ready to hang with integrated hanging loops.
Overall measurement 53 1/2" by 55" or 46" plus top tabs and fringe. The 4th and 5th photos are of the backside.
